LifePath is designed to help you reconstruct, organize, preserve, and understand your personal history. Your personal information remains yours. LifePath does not sell your personal data and does not use your personal life data for advertising.
Depending on what you choose to add or connect, LifePath may store profile details, memories, timeline events, people, places, education, employment history, possessions, uploaded files, photos, and information imported from services you authorize.
LifePath only accesses connected services after you authorize them. Imported information is used to help build your private LifePath record. Imported facts are added to your private timeline, labelled with their source, and easy to remove: every automatic change is listed on Changes with an Undo, including undoing a whole import. Imports fill in blanks; they never overwrite a value you entered or confirmed yourself, and never change what other people can see.
Google Calendar connects using Google authorization with read-only calendar-list and event permissions. Apple Calendar connects to iCloud using an app-specific password. LifePath encrypts these credentials on the server and uses them to refresh only the calendars you select. When you first connect, LifePath starts with your primary calendar selected (for Apple, your default calendar when it can be identified, otherwise all of your iCloud calendars); you can change the selection at any time.
LifePath stores selected calendars’ event titles, descriptions, locations, dates and times to display your private calendar. Connected calendar events are not used for advertising, sold, or sent to AI models; any sorting of them uses simple rules that run inside LifePath. LifePath does not create, change or delete events in Google or iCloud.
You can disconnect on Your Data → Calendars to delete the stored connection credential and cached feed. Previously imported files or saved history remain until you delete them. You can also revoke access in your Google Account or revoke the LifePath app-specific password in your Apple Account. Calendar data is included in your account export and deleted when you delete your account.
LifePath’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
If you choose to sign in with or connect Facebook, LifePath asks only for what it uses to build your private timeline. You can decline any of these on Facebook’s permission screen:
Information from Facebook is added to your private timeline, labelled as coming from Facebook, and you can remove any item (or undo the whole import) at any time. LifePath does not post to Facebook, does not access your friends list or messages, does not sell or share Facebook data with anyone, and does not use it for advertising.
If you upload a copy of your own Facebook data (Facebook’s “Download your information” file), LifePath reads only the files you choose, such as your work history, schools, places lived and family members, and adds them to your private record, labelled as coming from Facebook. Family members are added only to your own People list; LifePath never contacts, invites or shares with them.
You can stop sharing at any time from your Facebook settings under Apps and websites. When you remove LifePath there, or ask Facebook to have LifePath delete your data, LifePath automatically deletes what it received from Facebook. You can also delete your data yourself using the steps on our data deletion page.
Face recognition is off unless you turn it on, and LifePath asks for your agreement on a separate screen first. When it is on, LifePath learns the faces you tag and finds the same people in your other photos.
Photo descriptions and object tags are separate from face recognition. When AI help is on, LifePath may send a photo to an AI service to suggest what it shows, with instructions never to identify people. Turn AI help off in Settings to stop this.
LifePath uses your information to provide the features you request, including organizing memories, building timelines, identifying relationships between people and places, generating summaries, and helping you review or preserve your history.
LifePath does not sell your personal information. Your information is not shared with advertisers. Service providers may process data only as needed to operate LifePath, such as hosting, authentication, storage, and AI-assisted extraction or organization.
You may export your LifePath data or delete stored LifePath information from your account controls. LifePath is built around user ownership and portability. To delete your data, including any information received from Facebook, follow the steps on our data deletion page. Deleted data is removed from LifePath’s active systems and is not recoverable.
Everything you add is private to your account. Nothing is shared with other people unless you choose to share a specific item, and records you mark private (such as high school jobs) stay off your resume and anything you share.
LifePath uses authentication, access controls, and private storage where appropriate to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security, but access is designed to be limited to the authenticated account owner unless the user explicitly chooses to share information.
When you connect third-party services such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn, those services are also governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
This policy may be updated as LifePath evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
Questions about privacy can be submitted through the LifePath account or support channels made available in the application.
